Pune: Over 97,000 Applications Received for 4,462 MHADA Homes; Deadline Extended to October 15
Pune, 3rd October 2026: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has received 97,701 applications so far for its lottery for 4,462 residential units across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) area. Of these, 52,276 applicants have paid the earnest money deposit (EMD).
According to MHADA, a total of ₹1.62 crore has been collected through the application process so far. Since the application deadline has been extended, officials expect the number of applicants who complete the EMD payment process to increase.
The original deadline for submitting applications for homes under the 15 per cent Social Housing Scheme and 20 per cent Inclusive Housing Scheme was September 15. However, due to delays in the online verification of documents, MHADA has extended the application deadline by one month.
Applicants can now submit their applications until 5 pm on October 15, while the online EMD payment facility will remain available until 11:59 pm on the same day. Applicants opting to pay the deposit through RTGS or NEFT can do so until 3 pm on October 16.
