Pune: Passes For Toll Exemption While Travelling To Konkan During Ganesh Festival Available With RTO, Know Details

Pune 16th Sept 2023: The state government has announced free passes to the citizens going towards Konkan region to celebrate Ganesh festival. Such citizens are advised to collect passes for travel from nearby police stations and Regional Transport Office (RTO). The RTO Pune has also made a provision to provide these passes at the Sangamwadi office and the officials have appealed to the citizens to collect these passes to avoid paying toll while traveling to Konkan to celebrate ganesh festival.

The RTO officials said that citizens can also collect these passes from the nearby police stations. According to the state government’s decision, the toll will not be charged to the citizens travelling in Konkan region to celebrate the festival between September 16 and October 1. The citizens can collect passes by submitting valid documents of their vehicles needed to get the pass, said the RTO officials.

The passes will be made available at the RTO office between 9:45 am and 6:15 pm everyday till October 1 and the citizens can also collect them on Saturday and Sunday. The decision to provide passes for toll exemption for vehicles was taken on September 15. According to the notification, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses are also exempted from toll during this period.
