Pune: PCMC Demolishes Unauthorised Structure in Pimple Gurav
Pimple Gurav, 6th October 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) on Tuesday carried out a demolition drive against an unauthorised RCC structure spread over around 432 sq m at Prabhat Nagar in Pimple Gurav.
The action was undertaken by the ‘D’ ward office in Prabhag 29 on the directions of municipal commissioner Dr Vijay Suryawanshi and under the guidance of additional commissioner Trupti Sandbhor and deputy commissioner Atul Patil.
The civic demolition squad, led by assistant commissioner and ward officer Ashwini Gaikwad, carried out the action with the help of beat inspectors Vikas Warbhuvan, Sachin Fadtare, Rupak Shingare and Shivani Bhagat, five labourers, 15 Maharashtra Security Force personnel and three police personnel.
One jaw crusher, two JCB machines and a tractor-mounted breaker were deployed for the demolition. The action was carried out amid police security.
Suryawanshi said the civic body would continue taking action against unauthorised constructions violating development rules.
“Citizens should obtain the necessary permissions from the municipal corporation before undertaking any construction and comply with the rules to support planned development of the city,” he said.
