PCMC Prepares for Smooth and Safe Ganesh Visarjan

Pimpri Chinchwad, 2nd September 2025: With Ganesh Visarjan around the corner, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has stepped up preparations to ensure the immersion process is conducted smoothly, safely, and in an eco-friendly manner. Additional Commissioner Pradip Jambhale Patil reviewed the central immersion site at Moshi quarry immersion site and held a joint meeting with officials from multiple departments to streamline the arrangements.

During the inspection, Additional Commissioner Patil emphasized that citizens should not face any inconvenience and directed officials to provide all necessary facilities for the immersion process. He took stock of arrangements related to transport, manpower, cranes, security, sanitation, water supply, and electricity.

Detailed reviews were conducted on the readiness of immersion ponds, availability of water, installation of streetlights, placement of signboards, condition of roads, parking arrangements, police deployment, and fire brigade support. Instructions were also given to ensure effective waste management and cleanliness during and after the immersion.

Senior PCMC officials present during the inspection included Deputy Commissioners Anna Bodade, Sachin Pawar, Nilesh Bhadane, Sandeep Khot, and Sitaram Bahure; Chief Security Officer Uday Jarande; Chief Disaster Management Officer Omprakash Bahival; Assistant Commissioners Umesh Dhakne and others along with zonal officers, engineers, and health staff.

In addition to Moshi immersion site, PCMC has arranged facilities at other immersion sites across the city. These include adequate lighting, drinking water, medical assistance, security deployment, traffic management, and dedicated emergency response teams. Officials from all departments have already begun implementing the required measures to ensure a safe, smooth, and environmentally responsible Ganesh Visarjan for citizens.
