Pune Peshwas win Ola Partners League (OPL) – India’s biggest driver partner engagement initiative by Ola

Pune, June 12, 2017: Ola, India’s most popular mobile app for transportation felicitated the winners of its virtual cricket gaming property, Ola Partners League (OPL)at a star-studded event in Pune. More than 3 lakh driver partners from 7 cities such as Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune participated in OPL, making it the biggest driver partner engagement initiative ever. The virtual cricket tournament allowed driver partners to earn runs basis the bookings completed and answering some simple fun questions, creating an encouraging a competitive environment. Ola’s driver partners won 50,000+ prizes worth Rs.10 crores in the 6-week long competition.

Pune Peshwas emerged as the winners of OPL, with top driver partners from the city taking home bumper prizes such as Maruti Ciaz car, home theatres, and gold ornaments.OPL brand ambassadors Irfan Pathan and Mandira Bedi felicitated the winners at a glittering ceremony in Pune.

 

Irfan Pathan, Indian Cricketer and Brand Ambassador of OPL, said, “Associating with Ola has been a thrilling experience. Apart from the inter-city virtual gaming competition, Ola’s tie up with leading cricket academies in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Pune extended OPL to the families of the driver partners. Children of the driver partners were selected to be trained at country’s best cricket academies under a 3-month scholarship by Ola.
