Wanowrie, 18th November 2025: Following a recent assault on a customer attendant at an IOC petrol pump in Yerwada, the Petrol Dealers Association – Pune has reported another violent incident at an IOC pump in Bhairobanala on 16th November. The association has strongly condemned both attacks and demanded swift action against the perpetrators.

Highlighting concerns over the security of petrol pump employees during night and late working hours, the association warned that repeated attacks could force dealers across Pune District to shut operations after 7 PM to protect their staff.
“Our attendants are not just workers — they are frontline service providers who ensure fuel supply to the city every day. Their security, dignity and well-being are non-negotiable. Any assault on them will be met with unified and decisive action,” said Dhruv Ruparel, President of the Petrol Dealers Association – Pune.
