Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Hit by Heavy Rains, Waterlogging on Key Highway Section
Pune, 26th May 2025: Amid a red alert issued for Pune district, Pimpri-Chinchwad witnessed intense rainfall on Sunday, leading to widespread waterlogging and power outages across several areas.
The Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway’s Katraj-Dehu Road bypass section, especially near Wakad, was heavily waterlogged, causing major disruptions. Roads across the city resembled rivers as the rain showed no signs of slowing down, making commuting a nightmare for residents.
Authorities have urged people to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel until the situation improves.
