Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Mayor Demands Isolation Of Passengers At Airport After Return From Abroad

Pimpri, 7th December 2021: Mayor Usha has demanded that all foreign nationals coming from abroad should be isolated at the airport for a few days to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant of Coronavirus. She has appealed in this regard to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

The new variant Omicron is spreading rapidly in African and European countries. Also in Pimpri Chinchwad, six cases have recently been detected. The city of Pune, including Pimpri Chinchwad, has a large number of foreign travellers arriving and departing from and to all over the world. Immigrants coming from abroad can go directly to their desired destination in and around Pimpri Chinchwad city, Pune and its nearby places. Experts say the virus is spreading rapidly. Therefore, isolation at the airport is required, she added.
