Pimpri Chinchwad, 9th May 2023: The BJP city president and Bhosari MLA, Mahesh Landge, has taken the initiative to screen the movie ‘The Kerala Story’ for free in the city.

The movie, which was released on May 5, sheds light on the issue of religious conversion in India, especially of Hindu girls, and has been produced by Sudipto Sen and directed by Vipul Shah. In an effort to spread awareness about the issue, three free shows of the movie will be organized on May 11 at PVR in City One Mall, Chinchwad.

Landge has emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about the issue of conversion. He believes that mothers and sisters should be made aware of the dangers of these practices and stay away from them. In fact, during the assembly session, he had demanded the state government to pass a law to prevent conversion.

The movie ‘The Kerala Story’ is a thought-provoking and heart-wrenching story that depicts how innocent women are converted to Islam, sometimes with love and sometimes with threats. Through the free screening of the movie, Landge hopes to bring this issue to the forefront of the public’s attention and spark a discussion about how to prevent it.

Speaking about the issue, Landge said that in conversion, girls are often misled and oppressed by the lure of marriage, love, or a job. Therefore, it is essential to spread awareness about the issue and ensure that mothers and sisters are kept safe from such practices.
