Pune: PMC Recruitment Gets Extension For Second Time; So Far, 8,774 Applications Received

Pune, 14th April 2023: So far 8,774 applications have been received for the job recruitment for 445 seats in the second phase of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). Reportedly, this recruitment process has received less response. Hence, once again The deadline for the recruitment process has been extended till April 30.

In October 2022, the Municipal Corporation conducted the recruitment process in the first phase for 448 seats. This recruitment process was conducted online in an agreement with IBPS. PMC became the first municipality in the state to implement the online process for recruitment as per the order of the state government.

After the completion of the recruitment process in the first phase, the recruitment process for 445 seats was to be conducted in the second phase. But, compared to the first phase, there has been less response for the recruitment process in the second phase. Only 4,218 applications were received in the first 18 days since the application commenced. Out of these 3,775 applications were qualified.

The application deadline for the second phase of recruitment was on 28th March. But considering the low response to the recruitment process, another 15 days extension was given to fill out the application form. Accordingly, the 13th of April was the last day to apply. So far, 8,774 applications have been received for this job recruitment.

Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Ravindra Binwade said that hence, once again the deadline for the recruitment process has been extended till 30th April.

In this phase, the Municipal Corporation will be recruiting for vacant posts in Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 through direct service entry.
