Pune: PMC Removes Unauthorized Constructions On Hilltop Slope At Bibvewadi

Bibvewadi, 14th August 2021: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) took action against unauthorized constructions on the hilltop slope at Bibvewadi. The area was cleared of encroachment on Friday, 13th August.

During the Coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic, no action had been taken by the PMC against the unauthorized constructions in the city. A large number of godowns and huts with leaf sheds were built up in the hilltop and hill slope areas during this period. There were several complaints regarding this encroachment, therefore the Municipal Corporation took the action against it.

In this drive, the action was taken against 16 trade godowns in Survey No. 627 at Bibvewadi and encroachment of about 50,000 square feet was cleared.

The anti-encroachment team which took action included Executive Engineer Harshda Shinde, Deputy Engineer Ramesh Kakade, Ranjit Mutkuthe.
