Bavdhan, 13th October 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has shut down six ready-mix concrete (RMC) plants operating without the required permissions in Bavdhan, following complaints from local residents about dust pollution and the movement of heavy vehicles.

The action followed sustained follow-up by corporator Kiran Dagde Patil after residents raised concerns over the impact of the plants on public health and local traffic.

Residents had complained that dust generated during concrete production was affecting the surrounding area, while the frequent movement of heavy vehicles was adding to traffic-related problems. The plants were found to be operating without the necessary permissions, prompting demands for action against them.

Following the complaints and subsequent follow-up, the PMC’s concerned department took action and shut down all six plants.

The action is expected to provide relief to residents affected by dust pollution and heavy vehicle movement in the area.
