Rasne added that tax will be levied on the property registered with the Gram Panchayats from 2022-23. For the next period, taxes will be collected as suggested by the Municipal Corporation.

Adding to this, Rasne said that while levying the tax in Gram Panchayat, the built-up area is considered while in PMC we consider carpet area. With this in mind, 10 per cent area will be deducted from the Gram Panchayat area and tax will be levied accordingly. Taxes will be levied on all the properties in the newly included villages which have not been taxed, are in arrears with the Gram Panchayat and have been constructed without requisite permission.
