Pune: PMC To Provide Financial Assistance To Meritorious Students Of Municipal Schools

Pune, 12th August 2021: The Standing Committee of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to provide financial assistance to the first five meritorious students of class X and XII from the municipal school. The aid will be provided up to their graduate-level studies, said committee chairman Hemant Rasane.

Rasane said, “The financial condition of the students studying in the municipal schools is poor. Therefore, many smart and deserving students have to drop out after 10th or 12th class. The Coronavirus pandemic has worsened the situation. To boost the morale of smart and meritorious students, and encourage them for further studies, the PMC has decided to provide financial assistance to the first five students of Class X and XII  for their graduate studies. A resolution in this regard was sent by the Women and Child Welfare Committee to the Standing Committee for approval.”
