Pune: PMC To Recruit Teaching And Non-Teaching Staff On 2,093 Posts For primary Education Department

Pune, 9th July 2021: The Maharashtra state government has decided to recruit 2,093 posts for the primary education department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). The urban development department has approved the draft and an ordinance has been issued in this regard. With this, the recruitment process that has been stalled for the last several years is about to begin.

 

For the primary education department of PMC, a total of 989 posts will be filled in the category of the non-teaching staff also, 1,104 posts will be filled in the teacher and other cadres who are not accredited.  The posts of peon and guards will be filled in large numbers. There are 400 posts of peon and 464 guards will be recruited. Along with this Clerk, Typist, Administrative Officer, Head of Sports Department, Wireman, Record Keeper, Carpenter, Constable, Gardener, Bigari will also be recruited. The posts in the non-accredited category of teachers include painting teacher, music teacher, special teacher, computer teacher, kindergarten teacher, kindergarten maid. A total of 520 posts of kindergarten maids and teachers will be filled each.

 

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had held a meeting in Mumbai last week on the various issues of the Pune district. The proposal for the vacant posts of the primary education department was discussed in this meeting and Deputy CM Pawar had ordered that the vacancies should be filled immediately. The Urban Development Department then issued an official order on Thursday, 8th July.

 

The salary scale of the posts sanctioned in the proposal will be the same as the posts of the government. It will not get the approval of the government if the Municipal Corporation implements a higher pay scale at their level than the equivalent posts.
