Pune, 15th April 2025: In a significant administrative move, Deputy Commissioner Madhav Jagtap has been penalised for alleged mismanagement during his tenure in the encroachment and income tax departments. His two salary increments have been withheld following an inspection prompted by multiple complaints, including those related to illegal construction and irregular property assessments.

According to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) General Secretary Hemant Sambhus, Jagtap was found guilty in the case of illegal construction at Shivdatta Mini Market in Aundh, linked to Shivdatta Mitra Mandal. The inspection revealed misconduct during his time in the taxation and collection department, including the wrongful assessment of properties and encroachment violations.

The inspection was initiated after the MNS raised concerns and demanded accountability for Jagtap’s actions during his previous postings. Addressing the media, Sambhus presented a letter from Pune Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale, confirming the administrative action taken against Jagtap.
