Pune: PMPML Celebrates Driver’s Day, Recognizes 15 Exceptional Drivers
Pune, 30th January 2024: In a celebration of Driver’s Day, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) recognized and honoured 15 dedicated drivers for their outstanding service on January 24, 2024. The felicitation ceremony took place in the training hall of the main administrative building, with President and Managing Director of PMPML Dr. Sanjay Kolte, and Joint Managing Director Nitin Narvekar gracing the occasion.
The spotlight shone on 15 drivers who had provided accident-free service, each representing one of the 15 depots. Among them, Arun Kuchekar, a veteran driver from the Swargate Depot, received special recognition for an incredible 22 years of accident-free service. His remarkable dedication had also earned him accolades from the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU) in Delhi the previous year.
Expressing his appreciation, Dr. Sanjay Kolte, the President and Managing Director of PMPML, expressed, “Acknowledging the pivotal role drivers play in our passenger transport services is crucial. Congratulations to the honoured drivers, each representing 15 depots, for their outstanding contribution in delivering 15 commendable services. Their dedication should serve as an inspiration for fellow drivers.”
