Pune : PMPML Driver Assaulted By Car Driver In Hadapsar, Case Registered
Pune 25th August 2023: In yet another incident of assault against the employee of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) a driver was assaulted in Hadapsar. According to police, the PMPML driver was assaulted by a car driver who had stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road.
The incident took place at Sanket Vihar Bus Stop located in the Hadapsar area at around 6 pm on August 23. According to police, the car driver was asking the PMPML driver to take his bus back and later he entered the bus while abusing the driver and assaulted him. A case in this regard has been registered at Hadapsar Police Station under section 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation in the matter is underway.
It may be noted several incidents of assault on PMPML employees have been reported in the past when the citizens following a minor dispute went on to fight with the PMPML drivers or conductors. In one such incident reported near Pune Railway Station, a video of a fight between a PMPML driver and a person had gone viral on social media platforms.
