Pune: PMPML Offers Navratri Temple Tours in AC Electric Buses at Rs 500 Per Person
Pune, 10th October 2026: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced tourism bus arrangements for devotees wishing to visit goddess temples during Navratri. The tours will operate in fully air-conditioned electric buses, with tickets priced at ₹500 per person for each route.
According to a press note dated October 8, 2026, PMPML has a total of 13 tourism bus services covering religious and tourist destinations. These services are available on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and on other days depending on passenger demand.
The transport undertaking has encouraged devotees and tourists to use the services during Navratri, citing affordable fares and comfortable travel.
Two Navratri Temple-Tour Itineraries
PMPML has detailed two itineraries under Tourism Bus Service No. 13. Both will depart from Pune Station at 8.30 am and return to the same location at 7 pm, travelling via Swargate.
Service No. 13 (1) will cover:
Taljai Mata Temple at Taljai
Padmavati Temple at Padmavati
Tukai Mata Temple at Kondhanpur
Shrinath Mhaskoba–Jogeshwari Mata Temple at Kodit in Purandar taluka
Yamai Mata Temple at Shivari in Purandar taluka
Service No. 13 (2) will visit:
Mahalaxmi Temple at Sarasbaug
Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple in Budhwar Peth
Chatushrungi Mata Temple on Senapati Bapat Road
Vaishnavi Mata Temple at Pimpri Camp
Bhavani Mata Temple in Bhavani Peth
The fare for each itinerary is ₹500 per passenger.
Additional Destinations on Other Tourism Routes
Responding to requests from tourists and devotees, PMPML has also added destinations to two existing tourism services.
Tourism Bus Service No. 5 now includes Dhayreshwar Temple in Dhayari village and the Jadhav Wada historical museum in Nanded village.
Tourism Bus Service No. 12 now includes Shri Kshetra Pandeshwar, a Shiva temple on Pandeshwar–Nazare Road that the press note describes as dating to the Pandava era.
PMPML said its tourism services have received a favourable response from travellers and devotees. The undertaking noted that weekend demand is higher because many employees in offices, educational institutions, industrial establishments and IT companies have weekly holidays.
