Pune: PMPML To Run Additional Buses To Vadhu Budruk For Sambhaji Maharaj Death Anniversary

Pune, 16th March 2026 : The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) will operate additional buses to Vadhu Budruk to facilitate devotees visiting the place on the occasion of death anniversary of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Every year, thousands of people travel to Vadhu Budruk near Pune to pay tributes to the Maratha ruler. Anticipating a large turnout this year as well, PMPML has announced special bus services from several parts of the city to manage the rush and ensure smoother travel for devotees.

According to PMPML officials, the additional buses will run from major locations including the PMC building, Swargate, Hadapsar, Bhosari and Nigdi. The special services will operate alongside the regular PMPML routes.

As per the schedule released by PMPML, buses from the PMC building will start as early as 6 am, with services running at a frequency of around 45 minutes. Buses will also run from Swargate starting at 7.30 am at intervals of 1 hour 45 minutes, while services from Hadapsar will begin from 4.15 am with a frequency of about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Additional buses will also be operated from Bhosari and Nigdi, with return trips scheduled from Vadhu Budruk at an interval of 1 hour 30 minutes. PMPML has also planned limited late-night return services for devotees travelling back to the city.

Officials said the special bus services have been arranged to avoid inconvenience to devotees visiting the memorial site and to ensure better crowd management during the commemorative event.
