Pune Police Bust Fake Call Centre In Delhi For Cheating People, 4 Persons Arrested

Pune, 9th July 2021: The cyber cell of Pune city police have busted a call centre in Delhi, which has been cheating youngsters under the pretext of providing high paying jobs.

The arrested persons have been identified as Rishabh Kumar Anil Dubey, Vipin Ashok Yadav, Rishabh Manish Dubey and Piyush Kumar Satish Yadav, all residents of JJ Colony, Ramphal Chowk, Delhi.

A woman from Pune had submitted her details for employment on a job portal. Accordingly, the accused contacted her in March 2021 through a fake email ID and offered a good salary in multinational companies in Pune and Mumbai. They took Rs 9.25 lakh from the woman for various reasons.

After realising the fraud, she registered an FIR with the Cyber police station in Shivajinagar. After technical analysis, the accused was traced to the call centre in Delhi. A team raided the call centre on Thursday night and arrested the four accused.

Meanwhile, after getting a return of the property order from the court, the police have got the complainant refund of Rs 9.13 lakh.

The action was taken under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Ravindra Shisve, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Morale, DCP (Cyber Crime & EOW) Bhagyashree Navatake and ACP Milind Patil.

The team included Senior Police Inspector DS Hake, Police Inspector Ankush Chintaman, Assistant Police Inspector Shirish Bhalerao, Sub-Inspector Arjun Bedgude and police personnel Aslam Attar, Sandesh Karne, Mangesh Nevse, Pravinsingh Rajput, Yogesh Vavhal, Nitesh Shelar, Neelam Sable, Ankita Raghi and Madhuri Doke.
