Pune Police Constable Abuses, Threatens Cab Driver After Windscreen Washer Fluid Falls on Him

Pune, 29th September 2026: A Pune police constable was caught on camera abusing and threatening a cab driver following an argument on Karve Road on Sunday. The incident reportedly began after windscreen washer fluid from the cab splashed onto the constable, who was riding a motorcycle behind the vehicle.

The cab driver, who said he is from Gujarat and had come to Pune during Ganeshotsav, recorded the confrontation on his mobile phone and later posted the video on social media.

According to the video, the cab driver was travelling with his wife and children when he activated the car’s windscreen washer. The fluid reportedly fell on the constable riding behind the cab.

The constable, who is identified as a traffic policeman in the video, can be heard using abusive language and threatening the cab driver during the confrontation.

The cab driver reportedly called the 112 emergency helpline during the incident. The constable allegedly noticed that the driver was making the call.

Deccan Gymkhana police said that neither the constable nor the cab driver has filed a complaint in connection with the incident so far.

The video has since circulated on social media, drawing attention to the alleged conduct of the police personnel.
