Pune Porsche Accident: Minor Driver’s Bail Cancelled, Remanded To Observation Home

Yerwada, 22nd May 2024: After deliberating for two days after Pune Police filed revision application against bail to the minor whose Porsche car killed two IT professionals in Kalyani Nagar, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) today ordered to keep the 17-year-old child in conflict with law (CCL) in an observation home. He will be lodged there for 14 days till 5th June.

There was heavy criticism from all quarters after the JJB’s one-member bench had ordered to release the boy within 15 hours of the accident.

The incident had taken place around 2.30 am on May 19 (Sunday) when the boy was returning after partying at two pubs in the Koregaon Park area. Police investigation have revealed that he had consumed liquor at the pubs.

Police have also arrested his father for allowing him to drive the car without license and the owners of Cosie and Blak club for serving liquor to underage persons.
