Pune: Problem Of Traffic Jam In Chandni Chowk Continues, Motorists And Drivers Suffer Due To Slow Traffic
Pune, 28th November 2022: From Friday (November 25), four lanes from Mumbai to Satara and three lanes from Satara to Mumbai have been opened to ease the traffic congestion problem at Chandni Chowk in Pune.
After the demolition of the old bridge at Chandni Chowk on October 2, traffic was claimed to be smooth, but as there are fewer lanes under the bridge on the highway, traffic jams have persisted there. Although there is no major traffic jam, motorists and drivers have to bear the agony of slow traffic.
Under the old bridge at Chandni Chowk, the highway had two lanes on either side. Therefore, there was a constant traffic jam. Hence, it was decided to demolish the bridge at that place and also extend the service roads there.
