Pune: Pune’s Unregistered Schools Under Scrutiny as Education Department Issues Warning

Pune, 9th November 2023: The Department of Education in Pune Municipal Corporation has initiated measures against a list of unauthorized schools operating in Haveli taluka. Neelima Mhetre, Education Officer of Haveli Panchayat Samiti, has issued a press release cautioning against admitting students to these particular schools in the upcoming academic year.

These schools, which have allegedly opened without obtaining the necessary permissions from the government, stand accused of violating both the Right to Education Act (RTE) and the Maharashtra Self-financed Schools Act. Among the list of unauthorized schools in Haveli taluka, several reputed institutions have been identified. The Department of Education has accused them of defrauding the government and students through their unapproved operations.

2) Sulochana Tai Zende Semi English School, Kunjirwadi.
3) New Wisdom International School, Perne Phata.
4) Marigold International School, Kadamvasti (Solapur Road).
5) The Tigris International School, Kadamvasti, (Solapur Road).
6) Ramdara City School, Loni Kalbhor.
7) Smart Kids Primary School, Wagholi.
8) Vitthal Tupe E-Learning School, Pimpri.
9) Riverstone International School, Perne.
10) Gyaanam Global School, Uruli-Devachi.
11) Kalpavruksha English School, Kirkatwadi.
12) Craze English Medium School, Khadakwasla.
13) Pune International School, Loni Kalbhor.
14) Chatrabhuj Narsee School, Hadapsar.
15) VIBGYOR Rise and Roots, Wagholi.

The enforcement is aimed at safeguarding the rights and education of students while holding schools accountable for adhering to the relevant regulations and permissions.
