Pune: Raid On Gambling Den Within Kasba Peth Constituency Limits; Case Registered Against 17 People
Guruwar Peth, 25th February 2023: The Social Security Cell of the Pune Police Crime Branch raided a gambling den at Phoolwala Chowk in Guruwar Peth, Pune. In this operation, the police seized goods worth Rs 30,000 and registered a case against 17 persons.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided there and detained 16 people, and registered a case against the operator of the gambling den.
Police seized cash and gambling paraphernalia. A case under the Maharashtra Prevention of Gambling Act was registered against the accused at Khadak Police Station.
Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende, a team of Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav, Assistant Inspector Ashwini Patil, Aniket Pote,and Baba Karpe, Manisha Pukale, Tushar Bhivarkar, Irfan Pathan, Imran Nadaf, Hanumant Kamble, etc carried out this operation.
