Pune: Rajendra Jagtap appointed as 16th CMD of PMPML

Pune July 25, 2020: Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL) Rajendra Jagtap was appointed as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) on Friday. He will be the 16th CMD of the city transport body in last 12 years.

Jagtap will replace Nayana Gunde. In February 2019, the PMPML got a new CMD Vijay Suryavanshi after the transfer of Nayana Gunde. However, Suryavanshi had not taken charge of the CMD of the PMPML. He was serving as Raigad Collector and then appointed as Municipal Commissioner of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation. Gunde presently holds the post of Deputy Director-General of YASHADA, Pune.

Jagtap is an Indian Defence Estate Service Officer (IDES) and currently, he is on deputation with the Maharashtra government since 2012. He served as the additional municipal commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) from 2012 to 2017. He was appointed for one year as PSCDCL CEO in 2017 and later extended till June 2019.
