Pune: Recruitment Drive for 219 Posts in Social Welfare Department Announced
Pune, 10th October 2024: The Maharashtra state government has announced a recruitment process to fill 219 positions in the Social Welfare Department through direct service. An advertisement for these posts has been published, and online applications will be accepted until November 11. The exam date will be announced separately.
The recruitment will fill various Class 3 positions in the Social Welfare Commissionerate, including five Senior Social Welfare Inspector posts, 39 Social Welfare Inspector posts, 92 Housekeeper (Female) positions, 61 Housekeeper (General) positions, ten High Grade Shorthand posts, three Low Grade Shorthand posts, and nine Shorthand Typist positions.
Candidates should note that any changes in the number of posts or reservation details will be updated on the official website. Certain posts for backward category and parallel reservations are not available in this cadre, but there may be adjustments in the number of posts and categories not mentioned in the advertisement.
The eligibility criteria and age limits for each position are specified in the advertisement, with the age limit calculated as of October 31, 2024. Applications must be submitted online, and candidates applying for multiple positions must fill out separate application forms and pay a separate examination fee for each post.
To qualify for the merit list, candidates must achieve at least 45 percent marks in the computer-based examination, which will consist of 200 marks and cover subjects including Marathi, English, General Knowledge, and an Intellectual Test. The list prepared by the selection committee will remain valid for one year.
Candidates must select their exam center when submitting their applications, and requests for changes will not be entertained. If an exam center fails to function or exceeds capacity, affected candidates will be reassigned to the nearest available center.
Furthermore, candidates found to have submitted tampered or fake details, or who conceal information in their online application or during the examination process, may face criminal prosecution and disqualification. It has been made clear that if such issues are identified after selection, the individual’s service will be terminated.
