Rehabilitation Process For Children Orphaned By COVID Begins

Pune, 26th August 2021: District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, today interacted with children who were orphaned due to covid-19 and learnt about their problems. Under his guidance, the State Bank of India (SBI) has opened bank accounts for 28 children for their rehabilitation.

Additional District Collector Vijay Deshmukh, State Bank of India Assistant Manager Krishna Veni, District Women and Child Development Officer Ashwini Kamble, District Child Protection Officer Param Anand, and other senior officials were present on the occasion.

“Don’t worry, if you have any problem, contact us immediately, we are always with you. The Maharashtra state government, as well as the entire district administration, is with you”, Dr Deshmukh told the children.

The Collector interacted with each child. He also said that the necessary procedures have to be completed to reach out to the children who have lost their parents due to Coronavirus disease (COVID19).
