Pune Residents Alerted About Full-Day Water Cut on November 20, Thursday
Pune, 17th November 2025: Large parts of the city will face a full-day water supply shutdown on Thursday, November 20, due to work on connecting a new water pipeline and installing flow meters between the Khadakwasla Dam and the Parvati Water Treatment Plant. Water supply will resume on Friday, November 21, but with low pressure, the Water Supply Department has announced.
A new 3,000 mm diameter main pipeline has been laid from Khadakwasla Dam to the Parvati water treatment facility. On Thursday, engineers will connect two 1,400 mm diameter pipelines to this main line and install flow meters. To carry out this work safely and without interruption, the water supply to most areas of Pune will be shut down for the entire day.
However, water supply from the Bhama–Askhed Dam to the Nagar Road region will continue as usual, ensuring no disruption in that belt. The rest of the city will remain without water for the day, said Nandkumar Jagtap, Head of the Water Supply Department.
