Pune: Rickshaw Driver Killed During Minor Dispute At Hadapsar; One Detained By Police
Pune, 26th September 2022: A rickshaw driver was brutally beaten to death in the Hadapsar area. A case has been registered against the accused. The deceased rickshaw driver has been identified as Sagar Rahul Gaikwad (24), a resident near Lakshmi Mata Mandir, Hadapsar.
A case has been registered against Krishna Vitthal Rekhle (27), a resident of Kavadipat Toll Naka, Loni Kalbhor. Akshada Prateek Waghmare (22), a resident of Shantinagar Vasahat, Hadapsar has filed a complaint in this regard at Hadapsar Police Station.
Gaikwad and Rekhle both are rickshaw drivers. On Sunday (September 25) morning in the Loni Kalbhor area, the two argued for a minor reason. After that, Rekhle called Gaikwad on the pretext of drinking alcohol. He was then brutally beaten with a stick near a coconut grove and killed.
The police were informed that Gaikwad was dead. After that Deputy Commissioner of Police Namrata Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bajrang Desai, and Police Inspector of Crime Branch of Hadapsar Police Station Digambar Shinde visited the place and Rekhle has been detained by the police.
