Pune: Rickshaw Driver Returned Bag With Three Tolas Of Gold To Passenger Within 24 Hours, Felicitated By Police For His Honesty

Bhor, 15th April 2023: The Assistant Police Inspector felicitated the rickshaw driver who faithfully returned the passenger’s bag with three tola gold to the Nasrapur (Bhor) Rajgad police within twenty-four hours. The name of this rickshaw driver is Sunil Raghunath Bathe, a resident of Diwale-Kapurhol. The rickshaw driver returned the passenger’s purse, which had been inadvertently left in the rickshaw.

According to the information given by the police, Pramila Sachin Shete from Nasrapur went to her marital home at Dive (Saswad) for a yatra along with her daughter on Thursday (13th April). She took a rickshaw to Kapurhol. After that, they went to Saswad in another vehicle.

At that time, Pramila realized that she had forgotten the bag in the rickshaw at Kapurhol Chowk. She then informed about the same. At that time, Sachin Shete, Pramila’s husband, and Pramila searched for the rickshaw driver in the area but could not find him. After that, the desperate couple went to the Rajgad police station and informed the police about the loss of the bag with gold.

Police Sub-Inspector Sanjay Sutanase, Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Sanjay Dhavre, Mayur Nimbalkar, Ganesh Kudale, and Sachin Narute searched for the rickshaw driver and the rickshaw as described by Pramila Shete. At that time, the police were told that Pramila could identify the rickshaw driver. Investigators were sent to the rickshaw stop at Kapurhol. At that place, the police inspected the CCTV footage of the market area.

Meanwhile, the rickshaw driver Sunil Bathe had gone home after his shift. The next day, when he was about to start his shift, he found a bag.

After realizing that a woman from Nasrapur had left a bag containing three tolas of gold and clothes in the rickshaw during the journey, he immediately went to Rajgad Police Station in Nasrapur and returned the bag to the concerned woman. At that time, the woman’s husband, Sachin Shete, immediately felicitated the honest rickshaw driver by giving a reward in front of the police. The honest rickshaw driver was praised by the police.
