Pune Road Rage: Doctor Assaulted by Group After Driving Dispute in Hadapsar

Hadapsar, 19th August 2026: A 35-year-old doctor was allegedly assaulted by a group following a dispute over driving in the Kalepadal area of Hadapsar.

The incident occurred when Dr Avesh Nasir Khan, a resident of in Kondhwa, was travelling towards a petrol pump in the Undri area. He later approached Kalepadal police and lodged a complaint, following which a case was registered against the accused.

According to police, the accused approached Khan on two-wheelers near the petrol pump and allegedly blocked his car. They questioned him over allegedly driving at high speed and abused him.

The accused then allegedly picked up a stone lying on the road and threw it at Khan. They also allegedly assaulted him with a hard object, police said.

Fearing for his safety, Khan approached the police and filed a complaint.

Police Sub-Inspector Gayatri Bairagi is investigating the case.
