Pune: Rs 117 Crore Budget For Lonavla Municipal Council

Lonavla, 6th March 2023: The budget of Lonavla Municipal Council of Rs 117,21,56,952 has recently been presented by the Chief Executive and Administrator Pandit Patil. This budget has a balance of Rs 17,75,952. In this budget, Rs 83,95,67,000 has been sanctioned for the general revenue deposit, Rs 32,83, 10,000 is for a capital deposit, and Rs 42,79,952 for the previous balance has been sanctioned.

In the year 2023-24, general revenue expenditure of Rs 54,53,06,000, capital expenditure of Rs 62,58,45,000, and a balance of Rs 17,75,952 have been sanctioned.

Expected sources of revenue for the municipal council in the year 2023-24 are Rs 23 crore from property tax, water supply Rs 11.70 crore, advertisement Rs two crore, drainage Rs 48 lakh, fire brigade Rs 2.20 crore, solid waste management Rs 1.20 crore, sewage management Rs 67 lakh and 41,76,82,000 from other taxes, Rs 52 lakh from tree tax collection under a special act, Rs 26 lakh from lake boating, properties, Rs 25.20 lakh from market fee, Rs 17.13 lakh from encroachment fee, Rs 3.40 crore from tax arrears interest, Rs 50 lakh from tanker stand, Rs 5,88,70,000 expected income from various such collections.

Out of the grants and contributions received from the government, Rs 26.76 crore are expected. In this, Municipal Subsidy Grants of Rs 23.50 crore are expected to be received, while Rs three crore is expected from stamp duty. Rs 8.33 crore income is expected from various recovery and fine amounts.

Rs four crores have been sanctioned for the permanent salary of a servant in general administration, Rs 6,85, 60,000 are reserved for various bills, Rs 30 lakhs for health insurance of employees, Rs 60 lakhs for wages for various contractual works, Rs 10 lakhs for WiFi, Rs 7.50 crores for employee pension, Rs 60 lakhs for bonus and grace grant and Rs one crore for 7th pay commission differential and time-bound promotion differential, General Administration And the total expenditure for recovery work is expected to be Rs 17,90,45,000.

Rs 5, 80,50,000 for various schemes of public registration, Rs 1,79,50,000 for felicitation ceremonies, elections, etc. Rs 17,32,51,000 for the construction cost, Rs 2, 21,06,000 for the annual arrangement and repair work of the Municipal Council building.

There is a provision of Rs 22 lakhs for the fire brigade system, Rs 81 lakhs for maintenance and repair of public lights, Rs 12 lakhs for waterfowl, removal of silt and for cleaning of water tanks, Rs 6,94,81,000 for repairs, Rs 50 lakhs for underground sewer scheme, Rs 12,98,75,000 for the health department, Rs 20 lakh for hospital and workers, Rs 11.15 lakh for tourist center work, Rs 24.50 lakh for public park work, Rs 4,42,52,000 for building department work, Rs 89.25 lakh for primary education while Rs 11 lakhs for secondary school, Rs 22.22 lakhs for library department, Rs 12 lakhs for sports festival and sports materials have been provided.

For construction development fees, land acquisition grants, etc Rs 32,83,10,000 deposit while in capital expenditure land acquisition is Rs seven crore, Rs 1.20 crore for technical approval, Rs six crore for road improvement, the underground gutter scheme is sanctioned for Rs 2.40 crore, river channel improvement for Rs one crore, Railway Flyover for Rs 1.50 crore, Sewers for Rs 2.40 crore. DPR is sanctioned for one Crore, Construction of Water Tanks for Rs 80 Lakh, Water Channel Shifting for Rs 50 Lakh, Street Lights for Rs 50 Lakh, Decorative Pole for Rs 60 Lakh, Park Improvement is sanctioned for Rs 70 Lakh, CCTV for Rs 40 Lakh, Garbage Depot Biomining for Rs 1.50 Crore, Rs one crore for waste depot management, Rs 60 lakh for the disaster management plan, Rs one crore for geographic information system and Rs 62,58,45,000 sanctioned for various works.
