Pune: Rs 7 Crore Extortion Demanded From Owner Of Scott Fitness By 28-Year-Old YouTuber

Pune, 27th June 2022: Jitendra Shivdayal Choksi (36), a resident of Viman Nagar, the owner of Scott Fitness and Fitter mobile app, has come to know that extortion of Rs seven crores has been demanded. The Vimantal police station have registered a case against Choksi for pressuring him if he does not pay, threatening to defame him and his company by sharing posts and videos on YouTube and Instagram.

The accused has been identified as Aman Duggal (28), a resident of Koregaon Park. Choksi has filed a complaint in this matter.

According to the information given by the police, Jitendra Choksi owns a company named Scott Fitness and there is also an app called Fitter. People are trained on it for physical and mental fitness.

YouTuber Aman Duggal was allegedly defaming Choksi by uploading videos on YouTube. Also, since Choksi’s company was funded by Dream Capital and Elation Park, Aman Duggal posted a video on YouTube and demanded a ransom of Rs four crore from the complainant.

Aman threatened Choksi stating “If Rs four crore is not paid now, the figure will increase. It will be five crores in July. It will be Rs six crores in August and Rs seven crores in September. You have to transfer this money to my company account.”

He threatened that if he didn’t pay this money, he would have to face serious consequences. The complainant did not pay the money demanded by the accused. So he again uploaded a video on youtube on August 20, 2021.

In that video, the complainant’s reputation and personality were attacked with vile words. Amol Duggal repeatedly defamed the complainant and his company till June 2, 2022, to get the complainant to pay the extortion as demanded.

 

Also, it has been mentioned in the complainant that he demanded ransom by posting videos on YouTube and Instagram. Police received a complaint in this regard. Accordingly, the Pune city police have registered a case.
