Pune RTO Increases Quota For Fitness Certificate, Permanent Licence

Pune August 18, 2020: The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Pune, has increased the quota for fitness certificate and permanent driving licence. The new quota will be available from August 18 morning.

Regional Transport Officer Ajit Shinde said, “Renewal of fitness certificate of vehicles is going on at Dive Ghat (Purandar) testing track. The test for the permanent driving license is conducted at the Institute of Driving Training & Research (ITDR) in Kasarwadi and Alandi road RTO office. The quota for these tests has been increased from today.”

According to RTO, every day 50 vehicle fitness certificate will be issued to auto-rickshaws while 130 certificates will be issued to transport vehicles, 30 to tourist taxi. However, the daily quota for fitness certificates has been decreased from 20 to 10.

Similarly, the quota for the permanent licence of the light motor vehicle (LMV) non-transport has been increased from 80 to 160, motorcycles with gear from 80 to 160 and motorcycles without gear from 60 to 90.
