Pune Rural Police Take Sia Goyal to Site Near Lullanagar Where Lohagad Murder Plot Was Allegedly Rehearsed
Pune, 2nd July 2026: The Police on Thursday took murder accused Sia Goyal to a spot near Lullanagar in Pune where she and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary allegedly conspired to kill real estate businessman Ketan Agarwal by pushing him off Lohagad Fort, officials said.
Police also recovered the clothes allegedly worn by Goyal on the day of the incident during a search of her residence in Pune’s Market Yard area.
Goyal (20) and her alleged boyfriend Chaudhary (22) are accused of murdering Agarwal (25) by pushing him into a gorge at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18. Agarwal and Goyal were scheduled to marry in November this year. Both accused are in police custody till July 3.
A police officer said the investigation revealed that Goyal and Chaudhary had allegedly planned the murder at an open space near a club in Lullanagar, where they discussed how to push Agarwal off the fort. “As part of the investigation, Goyal was taken to the spot on Thursday,” the officer said.
During the search of Goyal’s house, police seized the clothes she allegedly wore on the day of the crime, the officer added.
According to investigators, the two allegedly killed Agarwal because he had become an obstacle to their relationship.
On Wednesday, police had taken Chaudhary to Lohagad Fort to recreate the sequence of events. Earlier, on Sunday, Goyal was also taken to the crime scene, where investigators recreated the alleged incident by pushing a dummy into the gorge in her presence.
