Pune: Sachin Tendulkar Buys 3.86 Acres In Lonavala For Nearly Rs 70 Crore

Pune, 10th September 2026: Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has invested nearly ₹70 crore in real estate in Lonavala, with three property transactions registered on September 4, according to registration documents.

Tendulkar has purchased around 3.86 acres of land in Maval taluka, including a property with an existing structure measuring around 2,100 sq ft. The combined area of the properties is around 15,601.78 sq m. The purchases were made through three separate conveyance deeds.

According to the registration documents, Tendulkar paid ₹63.69 crore for the largest parcel, measuring around 3.09 acres. He paid another ₹4.56 crore for the second property and ₹1.75 crore for the third, taking the total value of the three transactions to nearly ₹70 crore.

The properties were purchased from Nandan Dhananjay Mehta and Visvasvat Dhananjay Mehta. Tendulkar holds 100% ownership of the 3.09-acre property, while he owns a 50% share in each of the other two properties.

There has been no official statement from Tendulkar or the sellers regarding the transactions so far.

Lonavala, located around 100 km from Mumbai and 65 km from Pune, is a popular destination for second homes, villas, farmhouses and land investments. The hill station has also emerged as a preferred real estate destination among celebrities, high-income individuals and investors.

Tendulkar retired from international cricket in 2013 but continues to earn through brand endorsements, business interests and investments. Various media reports have estimated his net worth at around ₹1,350 crore to ₹1,500 crore.

He owns a three-storey house in Bandra West, Mumbai, spread across around 6,000 sq ft, which has been estimated by various reports to be worth ₹80 crore to ₹100 crore. He is also reported to own properties in Kerala and London.

Tendulkar is also known for his luxury car collection, which includes a BMW i8, BMW 7-Series and Ferrari 360 Modena. The Ferrari was reportedly gifted to him by racing legend Michael Schumacher. He has also acquired a Porsche 911 Turbo S. His car collection has been estimated by various reports to be worth more than ₹35 crore.
