The Cardiac Care Unit, comprising a Cath Lab and Six Cardiac Care Units, has been established through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. It will be overseen by Cardiologist Dr. Sunil Agarwal and his team. The Cath Lab will conduct procedures like 2D Echo, Stress tests, and angiography at subsidized rates. Furthermore, advanced cardiac procedures such as Angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and intra-cardiac defibrillation will be provided free of charge under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojna for eligible patients. In an era of escalating cardiac diseases, this initiative is set to be a boon for the citizens.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, made possible with financial aid from the Spherule Foundation, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and CPR Group, will offer intensive care services to newborns born at the Cantonment hospital and nearby medical facilities at affordable rates. This facility addresses the need for NICU beds and will benefit citizens who struggle with the expenses of costly NICU care.

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadi Kendra will make generic medicines available within the hospital premises, significantly easing the financial burden on citizens suffering from chronic illnesses. These medicines are priced approximately 80% to 90% lower than their branded counterparts.
The Liquid Oxygen Tank will ensure a consistent supply of 99% pure oxygen for the ICU, NICU, Operation Theaters, and the Cath Lab. The critical significance of such a provision has been underscored by oxygen shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the ceremony, donors such as the AK Abdujee Trust, along with representatives from Kotak Mahindra Bank, Spherule Foundation, and CPR Group, were felicitated for their generous contributions towards the well-being of economically disadvantaged patients.

Citizens of the Pune Cantonment Board, as well as social and political activists, expressed their gratitude for the availability of advanced medical facilities at affordable rates. They extended their best wishes for further advancements in the hospital’s services.
