Pune: Senior Citizen Dies In Collision With Speeding Vehicle In Yerwada

Yerwada, 9th October 2022: A senior citizen died after being hit by a speeding vehicle in the Yerwada area. A search is on for the driver who escaped after the accident.

The deceased pedestrian has been identified as Peter Ratan Pandit (65), resident of Chakrapani Vasahat, Bhosari. A case has been registered against the driver. Pandit’s wife Nanda (65) has filed a complaint at Yerawada police station. Pandit was passing through the Shanti Rakshak Society area in Yerwada around 10:30 at night. At that time, a speeding vehicle hit Pandit.

After the accident, the driver fled the scene without stopping. A search is on for the driver. Sub-Inspector Ashok Kate is investigating.
