Pune: Senior Citizen Faces Legal Action For Tree Felling Through Document Tampering

Chikhali, 17th January 2024: A 75-year-old citizen is under scrutiny as a case has been filed against him for allegedly cutting down trees by tampering with Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) documents. The incident occurred on January 11 at Kudalwadi Chikhali, leading to legal action being taken against the senior citizen.

Bhausaheb Vishnu Sagare, a 54-year-old resident of Pimpri, lodged a formal complaint with the Chikhali Police on Tuesday (16 January), accusing Prahlad Parashuram Pawar (75 years old, resident of Pimpri) of unauthorized tree felling. The complaint alleges that Pawar altered documents belonging to the PCMC to facilitate the illegal act.

Responding swiftly to the complaint, the Chikhali Police have registered a case against Prahlad Parashuram Pawar. The senior citizen now faces legal consequences for his alleged involvement in the unauthorized tree felling. The police are investigating the case to gather evidence and ascertain the extent of the document tampering.
