Pune: Sky Garage – Rooftop Lounge Bar Catches Fire In Aundh, No Casualties Reported

The fire brigade was alerted and the fire was extinguished in about two hours.

Fire officer Shivaji Memane said, “We rushed to the spot as soon as we were alerted at around 05:45 a.m. with five fire tenders and 1 water tanker. The fire broke out in just the reception and the dining area of the hotel. The fire did not spread to the hotel’s kitchen or surrounding offices in the building. The hotel was closed around midnight and the next update was the call alerting about the fire. The reason for the fire outbreak is still unclear.”

No casualties were reported during the incident. Firefighters first tried to use the fire system in the building, but it was found out that the system of the building was not in a working condition. The firemen climbed eight floors through stairs and doused the fire.
