Pune: Software Engineer Beaten Up By Hotel Staff; Case Registered Against Two In Hinjewadi

Hinjewadi, 30th January 2023: It has come to light that a software engineer, who went to have lunch at Hotel Mezza-9 in Hinjewadi after finishing work on Republic Day, was brutally beaten up by the hotel staff while he was taking his meal out of the hotel.

The 40-year-old engineer, a resident of Hinjewadi has filed a complaint in this case, and a case has been registered in the Hinjewadi police station (Pimpri Chinchwad police) against both the employees of the hotel, Devashish, and Rajesh Jena.

After finishing his office work on January 26, the techie went to Hotel Meza 9 around 11:30 pm for dinner. After ordering the food, it took some time until to arrive. When the food arrived, while they were eating, it was 12 am.

Reportedly, the hotel employee asked him to pay the bill first. He paid the bill and started the meal. After that, all the lights in the hotel were turned off in just a few minutes. But because there was a candle on the table, he was eating in the light coming from the candle. Meanwhile, the waiter from the hotel came and extinguished the candle on the table.

When the engineer stopped the waiter and asked him about the same, two of the hotel workers beat him with their hands after an argument. Meanwhile, he was severely beaten when a worker in the hotel threw a chair in his face. He called the police control room and asked for help.

Hinjewadi police went to the spot and arrested two workers of the hotel after a preliminary investigation. He was sent to a hospital for treatment and registered a case in this regard.
