Pune: Special Train Between Khadki and Sanganer Announced; Bookings Open October 13

Pune, 10th October 2025: To accommodate the increased passenger rush during the upcoming Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivals, the Pune Division of Central Railway will operate an additional bi-weekly superfast special train between Khadki and Sanganer on a “Train on Demand” (TOD) basis.

The special service, operating with special fares at 1.3 times the normal rate, will run between October 18 and November 9, 2025, providing seven trips in each direction.

Train No. 01407 Khadki–Sanganer Superfast Special will depart from Khadki at 09:45 hrs every Monday and Saturday and arrive at Sanganer at 06:45 hrs the next day.
Train No. 01408 Sanganer–Khadki Superfast Special will leave Sanganer at 11:35 hrs every Tuesday and Sunday and reach Khadki at 09:30 hrs the next day.

The train will consist of 18 ICF coaches, including four AC 3-Tier, six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class, and two Luggage-cum-Guard’s Brake Vans.

Halts will include Lonavala, Kalyan, Bhiwandi Road, Vasai Road, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Godhra, Ratlam, Bhawani Mandi, Kota, and Sawai Madhopur.

Bookings for all trips of Train No. 01407 will open on October 13, 2025, at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and through the official IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in).

Unreserved General Second Class tickets can be booked via the UTS mobile app and UTS counters.
