Pune: Speeding Bus Collides with Container on Mumbai-Bengaluru Bypass, 10 Injured
Pune, 25th March 2025: Ten passengers were injured after a speeding private bus collided with a container truck on the Mumbai-Bengaluru bypass near Jambhulwadi. The bus driver, who also sustained injuries, has been booked by the Ambegaon police for reckless driving.
The police have registered a case against Sadanand Mahadev Khot (30, resident of Shivnakwadi, Tal. Shirol, Kolhapur district) based on a complaint filed by Vishwatej Abhimanyu Jadhav (23, resident of Hadapsar) at the Ambegaon police station.
According to police reports, the Kolhapur-bound private bus lost control in the Jambhulwadi area and crashed into a container. Ten passengers, including the driver, were injured in the accident. Upon receiving information, the police rushed to the scene and admitted the injured passengers and driver to a hospital for treatment.
