Pune: SPPU Releases Selection List For Assistant Professor Posts; Appointment Letters To Be Issued Soon
Pune, 29th November 2024: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced the selection list of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor. The university will issue the appointment letters for the selected candidates over the next two days.
Earlier this year, the university had advertised 133 teaching positions across various academic departments. Following a detailed selection process, including interviews, the final list of successful candidates has been published. The recruitment is being carried out on a contractual basis for the academic year 2024-25.
The recruitment drive began with a circular issued on 26th August, inviting applications for Assistant Professor positions. Interested candidates submitted their applications between the 8th and 10th October. After scrutinizing the applications and conducting interviews, the university has prepared a merit-based selection list, detailing the scores obtained by each eligible candidate.
The selected candidates will receive their appointment letters from the respective academic departments between 28th and 30th November. However, their final appointment is contingent upon the verification of the information and documents they provided during the application process.
These appointments are valid only for the academic year 2024-25, offering candidates an opportunity to work with the university on a contractual basis for a limited period. The initiative aims to address the immediate need for faculty in various departments while providing candidates with valuable teaching experience.
