Pune: SPPU’s Squad of 50 Students Embarks on Educational-Cultural Study Tour to Assam with YUVA SANGAM

Pune, 16th January 2024: A contingent of 50 students from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is set to journey to Assam to participate in an Educational-Cultural study tour organized under the auspices of YUVA SANGAM.

The program, held at the Dnyaneshwar Auditorium of Pune University to bid farewell to the participating students, witnessed the presence of Vice President of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Dr. Abhay Jere, along with members of the Management Council of SPPU including Jyotsna Ekbote, Ravindra Shinganapurkar, Sandeep Palve, Nitin Ghorpade, NSS Director Prof. Dr. Sadanad Bhosale, and Director of the Students’ Development Council, Abhijit Ghorpade.

Aligned with the Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat scheme, YUVA SANGAM provides students of higher education the opportunity for the exchange of cultural and educational ideas by visiting different states. This marks the third phase of the initiative, with Maharashtra partnering with Assam. Fifty students from higher education institutions across the state were selected for the journey to Assam, scheduled from January 16 to January 26.

The dignitaries present at the program extended their best wishes to the students, waving off the green flag to symbolize the commencement of their journey to Assam.
