Pune, 27th December 2025: A disturbing incident in a Pune school has raised concerns about the teacher-student relationship in the city, a prominent educational hub. A female student allegedly harassed her teacher repeatedly by sending love messages and messages of an obscene nature. The student reportedly threatened suicide if her advances were not accepted.

According to preliminary information, the student sent constant heart emojis and messages such as “I love you,” “I like you very much,” “I can’t tolerate you talking to others,” and “I can’t live without you” on the teacher’s mobile phone.

When the teacher attempted to reason with her, the student allegedly carved the teacher’s name onto her own hand with a blade and sent pictures of it to the teacher. She also reportedly threatened to jump from the school building if her feelings were not reciprocated.

Further investigations revealed that the student had sent similar messages to other female students. It also emerged that she had recently approached a female peer in the washroom, asking, “You look very beautiful, do you have a boyfriend?”

Given the gravity of the situation, the teacher immediately informed the school administration. The management took prompt action, contacting the student’s parents and arranging counseling. According to the counselor, the behavior may have stemmed from emotional attraction and hormonal changes typical during adolescence.

The school has stated that it will continue to monitor the student and ensure a safe environment for both students and staff.
