Pune students shine in CBSE Class X 2020 results

Pune, July 15, 2020: With the results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class X being declared today, students around the country have finally sighed a relief. City students have come out with flying colours in the examination. Most of the schools in the city recorded 100 percent results.

Aadit Shailesh Litake, a student of Sanskriti School (Bhukum), who secured 99.6 percent said, “It’s unbelievable that I secured 99.6 percent, I did not believe this! For a while, I thought this was a glitch because my expectation was around 97 percent.”

He further said, “I always was attentive in class, and I am incredibly thankful to my teachers who helped me secure this rank. I’ve already started preparing for the Joint Entrance examination (JEE) as I aspire to become an engineer.”

Sanskriti School (Bhukum) has also achieved a 100 percent result, with more than 50 percent of the batch scoring above 90 percent.

Securing 98.8 percent marks, Shreya Mehta topped from Aundh based DAV public school, with 100 marks in Social Studies, Sanskrit, and Mathematics. Speaking to Punekarnews.in Shreya said, “I am thankful to all my teachers, especially my class teacher Meenakshi Ma’am. Without them, this wouldn’t have been possible. I aspire to become an engineer.” When asked about preparation for exams, she said, “I invested most of my time in studies, and was attentive in class.”

Jnana Prabodhini’s Gautam Rajhans who topped at the school with 98.6 percent marks said, “I didn’t have too many expectations. I just wanted to study, and do well, without thinking of the result. I want to pursue further education in the Science stream. I haven’t decided what to do after that.”

Out of the total students at Jnana Prabodhini Prashala, 64 scored above 90 percent, 73 have scored above 80 percent.

Pawar Public School based in Hinjewadi secured 100 percent result with Suhani Bhattachrya topping with 97.6 percent marks. City Pride School, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Amanora School, Army Public School Khadki, GG International School are amongst the schools that have achieved a 100 percent pass percentage this year. Kendriya Vidyalaya Lohegaon achieved a 99 percent result.
