Pune: Sub standard sanitizers worth Rs 27 lakhs seized in Pune

Pune, March 17,2020: The officials from Crime Branch unit 5 of Pune city police have seized sub-standard sanitizers worth Rs 27 lakhs from multiple traders.

Offence is registered against six accused at Marketyard police station who are arrested in the case. Police custody of four days has been granted by court.

DCP (crime) Bachchan Singh said that the accused persons were making these sanitizers without any license and putting ‘Made in Nepal’, ‘Made in Taiwan’ labels on these sanitizers. Further investigation is being done by Unit5 Crime Branch.

Police have appealed citizens to share information regarding sale of spurious products to police.
